병원 내 Living Donor 프로그램

Korean Foundation for tissue Donation is demonstrating a project about donating removed parts of bones from for artificial hip joint surgery called “Living Donor Program in Hospital.” From this program, we do not have to rely on imported graft materials and increase donated tissue domestically. Furthermore it will improve public health care in nation.

Living Donor program has been operated in European countries world widely. The UK, NHSBT (National Health Services Blood and Transplant) has partnerships with about 90 medical centers and receive 3,500 donations annually. Spain, TSF (Transplant Service Foundation) has 3,000 donations, and Germany, DIZG (DEUTSCHES INSTITUT FUR ZELL-UND GEWEBEERSATZ) receive 2,500 donations within its nation.

Korean Foundation of tissue Donation signed partnerships with National medical centers and demonstrates Living Donor Programs in hospitals. During the surgery, hospitals anticipate shortage of femur capacity and bone graft materials. When the partnership was signed with medical centers, KFTD supports the funds of demonstration of Living Donor program and collaborate with many projects with tissue banks including quality control and intervention.

From now on, KTTD and other medical centers find various collaborated projects and activate donations of femur and other bone graft materials. We promise to improve tissue donations and give a good intension to culture of donation. We are looking forward from medical & health care providers.
